There is information on area restaurants, with links to "cheap eats", as  well as "fine dining".  You'll find many places to go in the area too.  There are links to classes, "how to" sites, links for seniors, and many other interesting places to check out. 

There is a direct link to all of the properties that are available in MRIS, the local Multiple Listing Service for Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, most of Maryland, Delaware, parts of West Virginia and Pennsylvania. 

You can go in and set up a search for yourself in the Home  Prospector.  The system will e-mail you (supposedly from me) daily if there are any new listings that meet your criteria.  The data is very limited, so if you think one of the properties sounds like something you'd be interested in, please contact me, and I will send you more information. 

My "Calculator" button on the left will  give you access to  information on financing, and what different loans will cost you.  You may be surprised to find out what you can afford.  However, I do not recommend that you go to maximum amount that you would qualify for.  You can't just live and work to pay your mortgage.  You should have money to live on, pay your bills, and of course you should have enough to take a break and enjoy yourself too.

Internet loan companies do not have a good reputation when it comes to following through with their promised low rates and loan costs.  I'm in touch with thousands of agents across the country via a listserver.  I have yet to hear of someone who was happy with an Internet loan company.  These people know you won't recommend them to your friends, and they live far enough away from you that you are not going to confront them in their office when they increase your interest rate, and add outrageous loan fees.  I work with four different loan officers who have competitive rates, and are very honest.  I do not get any kind of incentives from the loan officers I work with.
